205/65R16 snow tire?

...I'm jaded as my Corolla sucks--I bought a set of wheels off CL and barely made them fit in the car. Two in the trunk, two in the backseat, and not much space left to spare. Hate having a small sedan now, thought it might be a good idea--it wasn't...

I agree. Been there a few times with small sedans I've owned over the years.

The one exception/oddity is my 2015 Nissan Versa. The back seat area is huge in that car as is the trunk for what it is, but the rear seatback doesn't fold down. I can stuff 4 versa sized tires in the back seat of that thing.

Is this an odd size? I would like to find General Altimax Artic 12 for the wife's Camry but it seems selection is thin at Tire Rack. Looking at what local tire shops have seems no less of a problem. What I'd like to find is a tire package and have it shipped to home as it's a pain to shove a set of tires into a car, but Tire Rack only has Bizzak WS90's in size and those are a performance tire, which I'm not sure what the tradeoffs are. Car doesn't need "performance" tires.

Wife drives 2k/month or more and is driving at midnight through central NH. First good snow had her wondering about AWD, lol. A "good" all season seems insufficient. I'd prefer General, could be persuaded into Conti, but abhor Michelin. But maybe Blizzak is ok? Maybe I'm overthinking it, and just pulling the trigger from Tire Rack is just fine?
I have discovered exactly what you have. This is the exact tire size that I had for winter tires on the 2008 Subaru Outback. I originally had Michelin X-Ice3 in that size. Now it seems harder to find that size. In fact, I had to step up to a 215/65-16 tire to go with when I put my current set of winter tires on.

A side note, I am currently driving that car on Sumitomo Ice Edge tires. They sound like 37 inch Monster Mudders mounted on a circus truck ! They are smooth with decent snow traction, but very noisy. I can hardly wait to replace them.

I don’t think the Blizzak tires you’re looking at are performance winter tires? They are listed as studless winter tires on TireRack. I think they will be my choice for my next set or winter tires? They appear to have a lower T speed rating.

Finally just ordered the Blizzaks as I contacted Tire Rack and they were out of Generals in that size. Didn't feel like running around to tire shops etc. Amazingly--ordered yesterday morning, and UPS dropped off this afternoon. Will put on this weekend. Wife will likely get after me to fix the TPMS light, but she understands that I (we) don't want to spend the money on the scan tools. One step at time (maybe I'll buy something and call it a Christmas present).

Never tried those Weather Active's, but I'm getting some P4s next week. Pirelli makes soft-riding, very quiet tires.
Tire Rack isn't loading properly here, otherwise I'd copy their verbiage. Doesn't sound aggressive enough for what we should run. Being a low slung FWD car it isn't going to go through too much, but it so far has seen a couple of decent snows. My car could get away with aggressive all seasons, but I think, for now, I'll get real snows for her and leave the "all seasons" for myself (even though I'd love to have a burly 4WD with gnarly snow tires again).
