2025 Honda Accord Hybrid- Pick My Oil

The Honda filters are nothing special and are likely going to cost more than the PG made ones so I see no benefits here.

I do have a bunch of PGs and EGs as well as old 7317 OG Ultras and a few year old RP wire backed filters to use

No “discernible” MPG hit but in reality we all know that it’s technically not possible for a thicker oil to get equal fuel economy to that of a thinner one. It’s hard to truly measure how much MPG you lose with a thicker oil without a structured lab test, but the hit is definitely there. And even a 0.1 MPG hit can add up to a Stromboli’s worth of savings every 10,000 miles 😆
Under normal driving I outdid my buddies Mavericks and not by a little but by a large margin mpg wise..

I think you and I are cut from the same cloth because I always manage to get way better MPG from my cars than my friends who have the same cars. It’s a great skill to have, I have saved enough money in fuel in the past 39 years to pay for quite a few steak dinners 🤓

Don't you ever cook.... 😀😀😁
Nevermind...Thank You
My Accord is averaging 16 mpgs above the city rating in highway use before break in 😊 Hot as heck here and AC cranked to the hilt with some 70 mph bursts when I can

For today, this week, this month.....Premium Guard filters or using up what you have. The M1 ESP's seem to be well recommended because of approvals. M1 has a 0W-20 Hybrid with supposedly different ad packs to accommodate the cooler engine temps etc. but discussions and if you check bottle shows just D1G3 and SP. If on sale almost any SP would probably be good. You already know to do a couple UOA's to see how it is in your car in your use.

I like the VRP at this point to keep stuff clean. Favored reviews for the moly and butt/ear dyno of quieter/smoother that many say not real except those that experience it.

At the 5k changes what keeps you happy. 5qt jug of Castrol Edge Euro 0W-20 is on Rollback at $23.97.

From the youtube author savagegeese comparison of camry and accord, it seems as though the accords hybrid engine tries to run as minimally has possible, mostly using the electric and the engine just functions as a generator. If that's the case, I would just use a good 0w20. In normal driving, its gonna rev out minimally. As for filters, 7137 fram EG would be better than OEM unless that blue can gives your the fuzzies.

VW508 might be good so you actually can see the oil on that worthless orange dipstick.
