I can only imagine what the price of these will be this year. $80,000? :ROFLMAO:

The two things Toyota needs to do with the next gen Tacoma - 1. Improve the seating position 2. Improve the drivetrain with a better tune. Otherwise it is a fantastic truck. Still lacks a true front locker though.

+1 on improving the seating position. I'm 6'2 and when I ride in the front passenger seat in one it feels like my butt is on the floor and my knees are in front of my face.

What irritates me the most about the TRD Pro line is that half the people that buy them pay, what, $10k more than a TRD Offroad only to rip out the shocks and wheels and replace them with aftermarket parts anyways. The shocks and wheels are basically the only thing that makes the truck unique. If you are gunna do that, just get the TRD OR and save yourself the $10k difference in MSRP and dealer markups. A TRD OR $10000 worth of mods will blow the TRD Pro out of the water.

I live right outside of Park City in Utah and I bet I see 2-3 TRD Pro's every time I go into town and they are always modded.

Just more cheap take offs for the rest of us.

I picked up a set of TRD off-road wheels with less than 2500 miles on them for $300.
I’ll do the same when it comes time to replace my shocks and springs.

Great minds think alike :ROFLMAO::

285/70R17 T/A KO2 Wrangler Rubicon takeoffs with 35 miles too. Super cheap setup.

I was gunna go with TRD Pro wheels but didnt like that they were 17x7" or a +4mm offset. The TRD OR wheels were more ideal for my setup.

The fields are bountiful for take off Tacoma parts. Your setup looks great. I always get a stormtrooper vibe from those wheels.

Yeah I agree. The Pro is nothing fancy. Shocks is about it. Just buy a base 4x4 and add all the aftermarket stuff a person needs. Come out ahead in the end.

People are still paying well over $50k for the TRD Pro 4Runner. Some over $60k.

The reason many get the PRO is because they can finance it. Not many people out there have the cash to buy a lesser model and put another $5k+ into the truck immediately after purchase.

The nice thing is that it's all under warranty. Also like @BLND1 mentioned, just more cheap take-off's for us lesser folk. haha The 3rd gen TRD Off Road suspension is an amazing improvement on a 2nd gen. Really transforms the truck to what it should have been. Even when I made the write-up in 2018 for swapping 3rd gen suspension on 2nd gens, my truck had roughly 36k on the stock TRD Sport suspension and it was a much better ride!

I'm just curious to see specs and prices on those TRD upper control arms!! I'd love to have a set of those as long as they improve caster and travel like aftermarket UCA's. Plus they look amazing🥲

237K on all-stock suspension on my 2007 PreRunner.

Would love to find some take-offs somebody’s selling from a 2016+

Keep an eye on facebook swap, craigslist in my area seems to be fading. I bet there are tons in your area. Even in NW IA they pop up somewhat often. It's a direct bolt-on setup. If you can find a deal where they are selling the leaf springs as well, that would be even better!

Thanks - I’d read that it was.

Hmm, just gonna sit back and watch this one. Gonna keep on driving my slow 3.5L V6 and wonky transmission Taco. BITOG's favorite past time is bashing VW's and 3rd gen Tacoma's...

I like Toyotas. VW's not so much lol.

Except people have the money to buy the Pro AND put 5k into parts into it. Most of the ones I see are running aftermarket parts, at least around here.
