I don't outright hate it like I would have 10 years ago, it's interesting, but it's hard to think of an Escape based transverse engine car being called a Bronco.
The styling is okay by today's standards, a little extra but not offensive, I just wonder if the mechanicals can back up the look.
That said, most of my driving is on pavement, and I've mostly used 4wd (when I had it) to make sure it still works, so I can't say this thing wouldn't meet my needs since I don't do much towing anymore. I'm sure fuel economy is far better than my old Explorers and Rangers. Still, I prefer trucks that try to be cars over cars that try to be trucks.
If I decided to make the leap to a new/much newer vehicle, it would probably be the base "real" Bronco with steel wheels. Not Explorer comfortable, but enough features and still truck based. Since they have an Outer Banks model, I think they should come out with a Redneck Riviera model with a 90s Explorer Sport body on it.
