No offense but same can be said of the Volkswagen bugs.
Totally agree new ones suck I would not own or buy a newer one

I don't outright hate it like I would have 10 years ago, it's interesting, but it's hard to think of an Escape based transverse engine car being called a Bronco.
The styling is okay by today's standards, a little extra but not offensive, I just wonder if the mechanicals can back up the look.
That said, most of my driving is on pavement, and I've mostly used 4wd (when I had it) to make sure it still works, so I can't say this thing wouldn't meet my needs since I don't do much towing anymore. I'm sure fuel economy is far better than my old Explorers and Rangers. Still, I prefer trucks that try to be cars over cars that try to be trucks.
If I decided to make the leap to a new/much newer vehicle, it would probably be the base "real" Bronco with steel wheels. Not Explorer comfortable, but enough features and still truck based. Since they have an Outer Banks model, I think they should come out with a Redneck Riviera model with a 90s Explorer Sport body on it.

You could have been fairly easily caught dead in an early bug. I don't know if caught is the right word as they would find you either burnt to a crisp by being covered in gasoline, or crushed to death.I wouldn't be caught dead in either new or old Volkswagen bugs.

That’s very true. I know someone who rolled one he got pinned under the steering wheel and couldn’t get out
he passed. Not that the Bronco is any safer at least not the old ones if you have ever seen one of those roll the chances of survival are slim to none.Looks like a first gen Escape and the Escape looks like a last gen Focus BUT I think they've done a good job of differentiating two very different markets. Funny though that America has totally ceded the sedan market to the rest of the world.

He gets some really interesting cars and does a great job showing them off...but I can certainly see how he would grate on someone's nerves...he annoyed me a bit at first too.
I can't stand this reviewer and refuse to watch his videos. The Bronco looks great though!

That was my first thought. Looks like an old escape. Next question was why?

I like two tone paint and steel wheels (argent silver with chrome trim rings would be better) though the two tone could have been done with better contrast and colors...

I won’t be getting another new truck after I turn in the 2019 Ram after the lease ends in 10 months. I’m intrigued by this, and the JL Wrangler. I’ve got my Charger (unless someone decides they want it, and I sell it), and the 2015 Ram that I’ve already upgraded (and will add a few more factory updates to make it nicer than its basic Tradesman spec).
Having had a 2016 Explorer Sport with a number of creature comforts, I leaned toward going back to a 2022 Explorer ST when the time comes, but I could be drawn away by a more off-road capable ride (and I’m no rock crawler, believe me). I’ve still got time to decide..

Bronco Sport is NOT AT ALL a Bronco. Ford is trying to capitalize on the Bronco name - nothing more. I think I heard thr Bronco Sport is 80% Escape. This is not a bad thing since the Escape seems to be a pretty well sorted vehicle. What the Escape lacks is any sort of off-road ability and fortunately the Bronco Sport is apparently designed for just that. In our area (north Idaho) the Escape doesn't have enough ground clearance to really warrant behind AWD, which ours is. More ground clearance and some real off-road ability would be much welcome IMO.
