2016 CRV Touring FWD

I tried to link the link but could not.

Its at Lerformancr Kings Honda, 4521 Kings Water Dr.
Cincinnati OH 45249

STOCK NO. GL002030

VIN 5J6M3H92GL002030

I know there are vehicle service history other than what a dealer uses. If anyone knows of any other that shows a problem please private message me.

Look at the Auto Check report at the bottom of the dealer ad:

Looks like a single owner, no accidents, low mileage, must be a granny car.

Price is about $1k too high, probably not much demand. I'd try to get at least $2k off not including denying the doc fees etc.

Recalls for this model year included issues with replacement engines, fuel pumps, and the driver-side frontal airbag inflator module.

Good luck.

I saw the report the dealer provided.

It did not show miles and date for each oil change like a Car-Fax would if it was a dealer serviced vehicle. That alone is a huge negative in my book.

The first item of my checkbox when looking for a used vehicke is an actual history of oilchanges with miles and date, and of course often enough.

The CVT should have been serviced at 30K miles or less. It has 42K miles so that should have also been done. But the service that dealer uses says absolutely nothing about the CVT trany fluid being changed. I have a fluid extractor and a library of my own fluid changes and what cvt fluid looks like depending on how often the fluidcwas chaged, so I can check that out.

Any additiinal info re this vehicle would b be helpful?

we had a 2016 CRV touring and the CVT drove me nuts. other than that it was a great car. the milage minder to tell you to change the CVT fluid does not come on until closer to 50,000 miles. it is not hard to change. I got nervous and changed mine right before the milage minder for it came on but it looked good. Ours was totaled out by a stop sign runner and my wife suffered some pretty extensive injuries.

Ask the dealer to pull the service history. Salesman just needs to walk over to service and ask them to run the VIN I presume. That's if it was services at a dealer, which would be nice.

'15 was the first year of the CVT and I read it was the first year of DI -- not sure on the DI?

As such I've concluded for this era '14 might be perfect. I just serviced a '14 and the step shift transmission felt good to me.

We bought my oldest daughter a new CRV in 2014 when she was starting college and I wanted her to have a safe reliable car...she still has it and I think getting close to 180,000 miles...I like the transmission much better than the CVT that our 2016 touring had..I have serviced the differential and transmission several times over the years and each time fluids look good. My daughter and her husband use it hunting and camping, mountain biking etc and it has been solid..they did replace the VTC actuator and took it to the dealer and it was not cheap but that literally is the only non routine money they have put in to it.

Yes the 2015 was the first year of the CVT for the CR-V and it had a resonant vibration problems and the fix involved new lower radiator mounts and new front headrests.

2016 very rarely has a minor vibration at the extra low fuel saving idle it drops to if their is no load on the electric system other than the engine running.

Honda and Toyota make good CVT transmissions. Still if you want them to last you have to change the fluid for them fairly often.

The transmission has a D S L N R P selector. S is for sport, and when selected it constantly chooses the CVT ratio to a lower range for the engine to rev higher, and the throttle becomes more responsive, and the i - vtech second intake valve opens quicker and at lower RPM's. The entire powertrain becomes much more livley and poweefull. Its actually fun to drive in S mode. Especially up winding hills.

Change the cvt fluid often and it is good for more than 200 K miles on these Honda's. But only use Honda cvt fluid.
