I posted a thread in the PCMO section a few days ago concerning oil. Replies started going in other directions....so......
I traded in an 09 Accord Coupe EX-L 2.4/M5 for a new 2012 Mustang V6/M6 Premium-Pony. Looking for a smoother ride and LESS ROAD NOISE. The Mustang definitely has those qualities in spades over the Accord.
I was concerned though about the mileage penalty going from a 2.4 4 cyl. to a 305 HP 3.7 V6, both cars manual trans. The first tank was all flat interstate at 70mph-182mi/5.3 gal=34.4mpg. I was impressed, but thought it might have been a bubble in the tank or just a fluke.
Wife made a couple of commutes this week with city driving mixed in 251mi/7.9gal=31.8mpg. These figures are a a couple MPG BETTER than the Accord. Seems Ford has stepped up their game, I had been away from Ford for many years. Fit ,finish, ride and MPG are as good or better than this last Honda(my third Honda)
Just thought I would post this as FYI general info, not trying to sell, just impressed.
