Hi all,

Couple of UOA’s from Australia. The latest one was a very short interval due to the fuel % in the first one.

This was later determined (by me) to be caused by the engine flush I mistakenly used prior to the first sample.

No TBN on either sample unfortunately.

Oil used - https://penriteoil.com.au/products/full-synthetic-5w-30

Any opinions on these, good or otherwise would be appreciated :)

Wear metals were less on the 10w-40 but the 5w-30 was a shorter run so not much data to go on to be sure. Both Viscosity's appear to be doing just fine though. Thanks for sharing!

Wear looks OK. I'd run the 30w for about 5k. Jmo

Thankyou both so much for your input :) I normally do a 5k interval, so will be interested to see how the next one looks. I’ve got 5w40 in there at the moment.

I’m only chopping and changing weights at the moment as I’ve only just started doing UOA’s and would like to see which one seems to be the best fit.
