Buddy of mine had his valve cover gaskets changed on his 2001 Audi S4 B5 with the twin turbo 2.7 V6. Valvetrain looked sweet. Thought I'd share.

It is a 6-speed, quick, and he plans to keep it for a while. Nice car.

Vehicle always has had Mobil 1.

That camshaft looks like brand new! Which M1 was always used, and at what mileage was it always changed?

Hello all. My friend bought from another friend of his this spring. Mobil 1 5W-30, around every 4-5k.

Car scoots too. She's a hoot.

That's the wrong oil unless we are talking the ESP 5w-30. It should have had M1 0w-40.

That is exactly what mine looks like the last time I changed the VC gaskets around 185k miles, right down to the sludge on the bracket right below the head and the oil in the spark plug wells.

Unfortunately, I must not have done the job the best as they are leaking again in both places. I have the parts, just need to find the time.

Is his still stock, or does he have a tuned ECU? I'm running a stage 1 tune at 15-16psi on my original turbos. KO3 turbos have been known to last a long time, but it's more likely to happen in the A6 than the S4 because of the smaller engine bay and the poor design of the oil lines of 2000-2002.

I do not believe his is tuned. I do know he is interested in those things. I will pass on this info to him.
