1955 Bentley at salvage auction

Not a typical vehicle for a salvage auction, which likely implies this Bentley has deep issues and looking for an uneducated buyer. If I had excess space and could purchase this for a under 3k I would buy just for fun. But it is almost at 5k, and with the auction tomorrow- the price will more likely go up.

One of the nicer bodies they made but it would take a lot to get it back. Junk the engine and trans and replace it with a nice RR/Bentley original, toss the wheels on fleabay along with whatever other junk they threw at it, basically get it back to original. For me its the body and frame and interior the rest would have to be sourced, it would have to be dirt cheap.
A rebuilt original engine is 28K in the UK and the R models sell for 28-35K restored.
