Possible nice salvage opportunity in Shreveport, LA- 2019 Toyota Camry external fire

The cowl and bottom part of that windshield were the hottest part of the fire, which is why I suspected wiper motor.
Could be, but then the listing is in error when stating "external fire". When I rebuilt an external fire S500, the listing stated "engine fire" which was completely wrong.

Here is a picture of a like area from the external fire S500 I rebuilt. The damage in the pictures look simular. The S500 was parked in a garage that caught fire, and some of the garage the caught fire dropped on the hood of the car, which resulted in damage to the hood and some of the under the hood areas.

I remember the S500 thread, that was clearly an external fire. Maybe something landed on this and slid down the windshield and under the hood?

Salvage auctions frequently have errors in listings, imo.

The salvage auctions require an account, and a fee is charged to setup an account. The higher priced vehicles also require an increase in a deposit.

The nice thing about the fee and deposit is that it limits the pool of bidders. But the pool of bidders is still massive.

The pool of bidders sometimes gets smaller in more remote areas. Might be easier to get a deal in Billings Montana than Miami, FL.
I actually thought about taking a swing at it since I live in an adjacent state, but it would very likely be a "one off" experience" since I would never do this repetitively as a buisness. I didn't want to give up $200 for the one chance at the auction I would likely not win anyway. I do appreciate you posting it though. I agree there is good upside to it, despite the salvage title. Its interesting.
