Perhaps it was a typo and meant to be "genteel" or even "gentile". No matter which was intended, it could use clarification.

How does an average (99.999%) consumer can figure that out? Considering many don't even read the owner's manual.

That’s the first thing that came to mind for me, as well. Translation apps are far from perfect.

I sometimes watch reruns of Wagon Train and Gunsmoke and few others so I am familiar with it. iirc, they lubed the wheels/axle with animal fat. They killed each other over using a low HT/HS fat.
