    Dealer oil change, ever wonder?

I deliver bulk oil to a lot of dealerships and dealer run oil change shops and I can tell you that most dealers these days use the oil that the vehicle manufacturer recommends. They tend to be on national bulk oil accounts and receive perks like building credit to return outdated and obsolete...

    Motor oil as a CLP?

I've used Red Line 5w-30 as a CLP and it does well. It is actually a surprisingly good bore cleaner. These days the only lubricant I use; especially on my AR's, is Lubriplate SFL-0. Midway sells and recomends it. Between a couple of friends and I (I built their rifles) we've got around 5,000...

Little higher rpm = better gas mileage

I've noticed the same thing in my 96 Crown Vic. Driving in D instead of OD I got my highest tank average with the most miles out of the tank.

    Oil pan marks cx9

Might be for stress relief to prevent cracking, or for some aspect of machine assembly, such as a grab point or optical sensor alignment target.

    Log Book Record of Repairs

I create documents on Google drive and include detailed info on anything I do, no matter how minor. I then share the document with the owner of the vehicle so that they can reference it at any time.

New oils avail at local WMart

Pretty much all of the Valvoline high mileage oils are now dexos1 certified. I doubt they would be if they caused seal issues.

Valvoline FSwMT is all we have been delivering to quick change places for like 6 months now. We can't even get the non high mileage synthetic anymore.

    Motorcraft FL820, 8600 mi, 902171517; Major Fail!

Doesn't look that bad. I doubt any oil made it between the glue and endcap, especially under spring pressure.

    Solar panel connection voltage...

Either way it will be 200 watts. You seem to be confusing watts for amps. You will likely get more power from it using them in series. Some grid tie inverters dont do well with low input voltage. Try it both ways and monitor the actual power produced with a Kill A Watt or something.
