According to Valvoline's web site, both products are still being offered.

My local Wal-Mart still sells both.

1. Valvoline Synpower
2. Valvoline Full Synthetic with MaxLife Technology

They still show Durablend on the website as well. Hard to find that oil now too.

Where did you hear this?

It's like Mobil canceling their M1 line and only carrying Mobil 1 High Mileage

I never said "Valvoline discontinued Synpower...", just that it's been replaced at my local WM with VSF.

Walmart removed the shelf space that was dedicated to Synpower and replaced it with shelf stickers only showing Valvoline Full Synthetic with ML tech ones. I asked the dept mgr and he confirmed. The price is also the same as was Synpower, $22.XX.

This is what the bottle looks like:

These companies always keep us guessing. Lol. You'd think they did the same with DuraBlend but every blue moon you can find it at AutoZone. Go figure.

Napa synthetic will be around a while. I have a couple of fresh cases that work of mine had and was going to throw out since it was 5w30 and we had not used it. I can't see anything happening to NAPA SYN.

I wonder if Valvoline will ever put Durablend back on Wal mart shelves. I also wonder if Ashland will ever make a synblend for NAPA

Yup! The 6th SuperWalmart just opened this pass Wednesday in my area and they have stock never seen at the other stores. Mobil 1 is no longer the lone kid on the block for high mileage synthetic. Even got a new HDEO.

I want that so badly. Too bad the Canadian dollar is still pretty weak. I have some good vehicles for that.

Valvoline FSwMT is all we have been delivering to quick change places for like 6 months now. We can't even get the non high mileage synthetic anymore.

What weights did they have the Edge high mileage in?

They also had it in 5W-20. There was a third one IIRC, either 10W-30 or 10W-40.

Regarding the Maxlife Diesel this is what tgeir "chat now" rep had to say:

"Only available through WalMart. We do not have the PDS yet. Valvoline HD w/Maxlife Technology Synthetic Blended 15W-40 p/n 869035 for gallon container."

They said it should be CJ4/SM but that was speculation.

Were these in 5qt jugs as well?

They had the full compliment of Rotella...

RT6 - 5W40 Syn
T5 -- 10W30 Syn Blnd
T --- 15W40 Convl

Just adding the T5 15W40 Syn Blnd
Thanks; I will have to check and see if mine carries it. I am really liking the Kendall synblend in 15W-40; would be nice to try it in Rotella.
Checked in a few WMs in the area over the last week or so. No T5 15W40 SynBlend...
