I'm late to the party but I'll agree that all synthetic oils are the same as long as she is willing to agree that all shoes and hand bags are the same just some are prettier than others. In all seriousness, when discussing/debating an issue, one is wise to put their emotions aside.

Your application may very well be that way. My point was to not always trust the operator manual or the parts guy behind the counter. The filter for the Accord is a little (approximately 2 inch in diameter ) cartridge filter. Looks similar to what is used on motorcycles for engine oil filters.

98 f150, 5.4 162,000 miles 65-70psi at 2000rpm 25-30 psi at idle 04 accord 3.0V6 122,000 miles 65-70 psi at 3000rpm 12-14 at idle All pressures at full operating temp. Both seem to have a relief setting of around 80psi. Idle is about 700rpm. Both vehicles pressure readings match the specification.

Yeah, the factory gauges are not much better than an idiot light. The gauge in my 04 Accord reads at exactly the same spot from 170F to 210F. There are several different gauges that plug into the OBDII port to monitor water temperature. ScanGauge is one of them.

Late 60s Chevy grain truck when I was around 11-12. Moved up to a Ford 9000 semi tractor with a 10 speed and 42ft trailer when I was 17. Was able to have my full drivers license when I was 15 in rural ND. Still haven't figured out how to correctly shift the old 5 and a 4 transmissions.

I would just change it once. I too fail to see the point of changing it twice or using autorx on a hypoid gear set. Seems like a waste to me.

I would use a low odor lithium grease or other low/no odor product. I made the mistake of lubricating the sun roof track with gun grease one day. Parked out in the sun and the inside of the car smelled like grease for 3 weeks. No experience with either of your listed products.
