Denso 150-1001 filter cut open

This filter from a 2006 Scion tC had 7 months and 5100 miles on it. Used PP 5W-30.

These are nice filters, as well made as a filter could be I would say. I don't think they are making them anymore, replaced by new #'s, made in China. I looked a few days ago, the Denso stores referenced from the Denso website no longer have these. I have a number left, with some Fram Ultras, hope I can use them before I or they are too old. Thanks for the cut and show. I think maybe their market in Asia is where they are concentrating. I am not buying the China made even if it is gold plated.
