ZDDP Oil for 1989 Camaro

What oils that are currently available in 5w30 or 10w30 flavor have the highest ZDDP content? I'm going to be doing a big service (spark plugs, coolant, manual transmission fluid, oil change, clutch change, rear diff fluid, fuel filter) on my Camaro (89' with 6x,000mi 2.8l V6) and I believe that a high ZDDP oil would be a good fit. I know that Quaker State had a high-zinc oil but I can't find it for sale anywhere.
What of the shelf (auto zone, AAP, walmart, napa) oils would have the highest ZDDP content?

All of the "off the shelf" oils today(SN/GF-5) are going to have lower ZDDP than the oils from 1989. However if your engine is stock & broken in, any of those oils(conventional or synthetic) will be fine.

If you definitely need a higher zinc oil, you may have to look elsewhere. Maybe some of the "off the shelf" High Mileage Oils will have the extra zinc but you may have to find SL/GF-3.

Mobil 1 High Mileage oils still have good levels of zddp.

Maybe something like Mobil 1 0W-40. An XW-40 oil is allowed to have higher ZDDP levels than any XW-30 and still meet the latest API service requirements. It's somewhat thin for a 40.

Valvoline VR-1 10w30 Racing Oil would be my choice. Syn or conventional. It is a high detergent street oil.

You don't need a high zddp oil there. You need an intake manifold gasket

Nice looking car. Its sort of a chevy vega/monza / X body Frankenstein. I had a 5 speed MT 2.8. Nice driving car. And yes the intake manifold gasket barffed in the engine.

High ZDDP is a thing of the past. You don't need high ZDDP with modern oils, regardless of what kind of engine you have. AW/EP/FM/AO additives found in API SN oils work synergistically with ZDDP to greatly improve AW/EP/FM/AO performance beyond high-ZDDP oils. Things will get even better with the GF-6 oils, where thinner oils will require even better AW/EP/FM/AO additives.

So, rather than looking for a high-ZDDP oil, look for a quality, brand-name API SN oil.
