Your thoughts on a black color interior

No black interiors, my Dakota has that and I *Hate* it! HOT here in Texas, dark as a cave, and any small dark objects that get dropped simply disappear. No black interors for me ever again.

I detest light interiors. Give me black or dark gray/charcoal any day. Interior is only hot for a few seconds until the AC cools it down. Light colored interiors get trashed way too easy.

My first choice (which I have in my Silverado) is a dark charcoal grey. It is dark, but it definitely isn't black.

For me, there is no second choice. I've had tan/beige... but coffee spills/dribbles show up on it. And I'm too much of a clean freak for black. It just doesn't work for me.

When I saw the charcoal grey interior in the Silverado, that was more of a selling point than anything.

I find it just the opposite. Getting in my black interior SRT, cranking the air, and having nice dark windows on a 105-degree day is just MUCH more pleasant than getting in a car with a bright interior that makes my eyeballs ache. The black interior is like a nice, cool man-cave. And has been mentioned earlier, the black actually sheds heat to the AC faster than a light color. Exterior colors- just the opposite. Give me a light color every time. My SRT exterior is white... I will NEVER own a car with a black exterior unless I move to Alaska.

+10000 percent.
My Saturn is a good 30degrees hotter than the civic which is grey under the same circumstances.

black or dark gray interiors are depressing. The tan interior in the Tacoma cleans well, and doesn't show dirt and dust. They are nice in winter, but the heat in summer overwhelms that benefit.

I feel I have the best of both worlds. My Elantra has a two tone tan and dark grey/black interior. the carpet area is black, as is centre console. Seats, tan. Similar layout to Hokiefyd's interior. Wife's car is all black inside. Constantly looks dusty and shows every particle of dirt known to man. I'll take my combo any day.

My Saturn had a light grey interior and it got dirty very quickly.

The black interior in my Mitsubishi doesn't get nearly as dirty. Also, I feel no difference in temperature when sitting down.

For utilitarian vehicles I don't really care, one of mine has beige, one saddle and the other grey, typical bland modern colors(though the saddle leather isn't bad)... My three oldies all have black interior and I wouldn't want them any other way...
