How important is color exterior/interior

The Nova that was given to me was silver and looked pretty hideous to me.
The first car I bought was light metallic blue and I was never happy with it, bought it off the lot and never really thought about the idea of ordering a car.
Decided at that point that I would stick with darker colors and my next three cars were hunter green, dark blue, and now dark grey. My present interior is black leather and I like it despite the heat issues in the summer.
I don't think I would buy a white, yellow, orange, beige, brown, or silver car at this point. Red could be workable depending upon the shade. Metallic or not doesn't really matter to me.

my LE is appliance white and Marina's SE is a nice blue.Previous '09 was a dull gray. Used asphalt. The new cars are more visible.

I really take it into account. My Torch Red 03 Cobra was a 10th Anniversary edition with Red/Black leather. Cool back then. My Mercedes is pastel blue with a, at the time, special ordered blue leather interior. My CTS-V is Raven black with a almost white interior and Recaro Option. A combo I never saw in my on off 2-3 year search. I put a non refundable deposit on it and drove halfway across the country with a trailer over that odd ball color combo.
