Gmail.
I have had other email addresses from the other places in the past but I just let them run dormant as they eventually get too much spam etc. Gmail I plan on keeping.

Yesterday I took the first step to lessening the Spam folder. If you have GMail's "New Look", there's a wide, white search info bar at the top. On the ride side you will a very small arrow pointing downward. Click on it fo find ways to eliminate the spam.

Half of my spam was from 'interestwinterdotcom" I put that address in on that options page where it says (from) - along with my email address in another box there that says (to). There is an option there to delete those email senders. Click on it and my spam folder was empty this morning -- first time since March 1st.

Hotmail, Yahoo and Gmail.

Hotmail for personal stuff and Yahoo for any kind of correspondence with online orders, credit cards, etc. My Gmail account was created but never used, kept mostly for novelty in case I ever need it.

Personally, I don't like Gmail's web interface at all (too much stuff going on, too many unnecessary services available to you, etc.). I prefer Yahoo's older one which I've been able to keep. I use Live Mail for my Hotmail so I don't even know what it's like to get my mail from their web interface.

Spam on Yahoo has gone way up recently, but I think that's more of a case of me doing business with a few new online retailers and signing up for rebates. Would be nice if their filters caught it, though.
