I ordered a Bosch cabin air filter for the Subaru. Amazon shipped in their cheap mailing bag and one edge of filter is mushed and unusable. I asked for a replacement.
If that comes mushed I was thinking I will order 2 or 3, enough to warrant a box. And keep upping the quantity until shipped in a box.
This is not the first time it's happening and often what I ordered is not damaged even in the item's packaging looks a little rough after taking it out of the mailing bag.
I wonder if it's just so cheap to use a mailing bag that the few that are damaged in shipping out weigh the cost of shipping in a box.
Or maybe left up to the packer. But this was delivered by an Amazon driver so it probably did not go across the country and through multiple sorting processes.
