75w-90 would be as thick as this. But, I *DO* have 85w140 in the back of my 2000 Cherokee for now! Apparently that is what I'm supposed to use for offroad and towing ... and that's what my 2000 is used for.
The camchain is pretty stretched on it. I imagine something heavier than 20w-50 would put too much stress on the oil pump and cam chain and cause it to jump.

No. Was due for an oil change and had some cheap Peak 10w30. The Pennzoil High mileage stopped the leak on my 2000 so that is what I am going to continue to use, but even at that, not due for an oil change on my 2000 Cherokee for 11 months.

Ah! You know what I'm talkin' about! My friend keeps getting confused by the thing because his other vehicles and mine fire off on the 3rd or 4th revolution of the starter. Not this!

Totally kidding about that. Once we change the head gasket and all the other stuff that is causing this thing to be the Exxon-Valdez, it's going back to 10w30 or 5w30.
It's sad that this 25 year old 200000 mile engine is quieter than my 15 year old engine with 130,000 miles ... and this one has been starved of oil!
