I am digging through junk left my a friend after she moved. Actually, I'm cleaning her place. Her ex left an XM satalite radio. Does anyone know what needs to be included? It is in a box with a lot of junk. I have the LCD module used to channel selection, the antenna. Not sure what else.
Also, if anyone wants whatever I have I will sell cheap.
Thanks!

A subscription that someone would need to pay for.

Yes, I know this. I just want to make sure I do not recycle necessary hardware.

I'm guessing you need a power adapter. If it's a home unit, then it'll be an A/C adapter. If it's a car unit, it'll be a cigarette lighter adapter or you'd need to hardwire it to the car's battery.

For the less than $9 a month I pay for "XM Premier", I get my money's worth during my commute which is at least 1 hour each way. Regular radio is dead, especially if you want to hear some comedy talk. If you really grind XM, you can get 5 months for $25.

Is the sound quality great? No. Do I never listen to 85% of the stations? Yes. Criticism aside, do the rock stations on XM play music that would never get on a regular radio station? Yes.

You can probably find an a/c adapter somewhere if you can't find it and want to use the unit.

Maybe Sirius is different. My car came with Sirius. After the 6 month trial was ul, I canceled it. It was going to be 300 a year.

Earlier this year, I got another free trial. That was cool ... except for the part where the music stations now had commercials.

I see no point in paying for radio with commercials.
