Mom having issues selecting HDMI input on Samsung TV

Checked mine.

Settings > General > Smart Features > Make sure Autorun Last App is the only thing bubbled. Turn off the other two.

I pressed those colored buttons, didn't look like they did much except go to Samsung TV

Went over to check it out, and now it’s “sticky” with the last selected source. Thanks.

If it’s not one thing, it’s another. My dad lost some previously locked in broadcast channels, and he doesn’t know how to navigate through the menus to rescan. At least I can handle this pretty easily, but there’s no way I can talk him through this over the phone like tech support.

Got there and did find a complete set of channels missing. Also noticed the rabbit ears antenna was moved and the telescoping was fully retracted. So I got to work trying to figure out how to do this on an older LG.

It was interesting trying to get it to work. Part of it is that the original LG remote died and was replaced with a universal remote where there was some guessing about button functions. When I got to the right menu item, I couldn’t select it. Tried fresh batteries and it started working again. But the only button that didn’t register with the drained batteries was the select button. It was working a bit earlier but I didn't navigate to the right place.
