Wix filters now at Canadian Tire

I run the parts department at a smaller CT store…in my morning parts delivery was the whole(?) selection of Wix filters…most seem to priced at $9.99…
Better late than never, I guess….IMHO should have happened years ago - when I first came on this site 20 years ago WIX were respected as great filters, and only now are they easier to get in Canada.

PartSource has had them in their system for quite sometime now; but I think they were special order only. No Castrol filters in the catalogue, BTW.

I’m in Ontario….assuming it’s nationwide…?
And yes, CT has had WIX ‘listings’ for years, but you couldn’t really get them; they were never in stock anywhere.

On the web page that shows 51036 that's the generic pop up filter to show. scroll down the page and there is a full listing of filters.
I click on my #57512 it shows one at my store. This is in Ont.

They've been available to order through partsource for awhile now (Nova Scotia). Some standard purolators were at depot in Montreal too (for the big volume fitments only though). Be nice if we got them in store, alot of customers specifically ask for "not fram" and those GKI sourced Castrols are kind of pricey at 16 CAD .

The store I've worked for has gotten the partsource specific OE+ (PG Extended performance) for awhile now they're generally around 10 CAD as well. Lot of the newer Hyundai with the cartridges they're the only option other than the Extra Guard.

I'd like to see some stuff from Hengst come in to sit next to the Mann filters tbh. Napas markup on them is ridiculous cost is lower than a Wix.

You're right, I scrolled down and searched the 57712. Out of stock but could order and pick up in four days. $9.99 Thanks!

Is Wix going to share shelf space with Fram? Or is Fram being replaced with Wix?

Could be fallout of the First Brands bankruptcy. Fram is owned by Trico Group which is owned by First Brands

So far, WIX is on the shelf alongside the full collection of Fram and Fram Ultra filters. WIX replaced regular ‘Motomaster’ filters, that were just Frams painted red.

I was in Crimetown last weekend. It was the only place I saw saw snow between there and Calgary. We finally got a dump after the weekend.

They're just making it the east coast now. Crimetown CT could order them prolly have one in a week, within the day if you have a local partsource.

Haha. My nephew ( sister’s son) got married in Regina. My sister lives in Rock Glen, I have a brother in ‘Stoon and another brother in PA.
