I have used most versions of Vista and I have got to say......well its pretty.
I ran a version(cant remeber which number, sorry) and I installed in on a 2Ghz, 512MB ram. I have NEVER had an install take that looooong. It literally took over 4 hours to install. And then 15+ mins to boot to the desktop. this thing is gonna be a total bear to run. If you dont have the most powerful machine on the market, Vista is gonna work you over good.
I am sure it wont be like WindowsME. ME was a very "odd" operating system. I have talked to a couple people who said it worked perfectly for them without any glitches but the vast majority agree that it was a terrible product. It was too unstable, had driver issues unlike any I had ever seen, and the name bothered me.
WindowsME - Is this OS trying to say it will taylor itself to my needs? well, I dont crash every 30 mins so I find that insulting
Windows Millenium Edition - Well this fits, it makes your machine get the attitude of HAL! MS should have just given more accurate error messages like, "I don't like you", "Haha! I am NEVER gonna work with that scanner no matter what drivers you try. You might as well stop", "You wouldnt believe how bad of an error I just had.....but you are gonna find out!".
