Nothing but ugly windmills and cell towers on the horizan to destroy the beauty of the landscape of the midwest. If Ted Kennedy doesn't want to see them from his front porch why should we?

Yoy must admit they are a blite on the land. I have seen windmill farms in southern California and in Illinois and it's discusting how they ugly up the landscape.

I agree. With all white towers and blades set against a backdrop of rolling green hills, I find wind farms quite pleasant to look at.

I agree. I find windfarms asthetically pleasing. The blades are often painted gray to blend in with couds better. West Texas has a nice large wind farm that actually puts something interesting in the landscaping to look at.

Would you want to see them for hundreds and hundreds of miles?

You'd have to get up from behind your desk and go outside to see them.

You mean, "22,459th post."

I got wifi, so I can post from pretty much anywhere in between whatever I'm doing. I also post mostly short, scathing comments, which isn't taking up much time at all. Furthermore, I'm an insomniac, which gives me an extra 8 hours in any given 24 hour period.

Oh my goodness no! Seeing them for 10-20 miles is pleasant to look at, but hundreds and hundreds of miles? That's a completely different story.

I'll bet you find radio towers ugly, too. I find them interesting.

Where would all of these towers be placed? How much land does one tower require?

I find the ones disguised as trees downright amusing. Better than a bare tower, but still funny looking.
