Why so much discussion around counterfeit A01s?

So there seems to be many threads here on the topic of counterfeit Honda A01 filters.
I find this interesting because I can't think of an occasion where there was a thread around a counterfeit Ultra/TG/Boss/Pureone/Amsoil/Wix/Napa Platinum or Gold.

What gives?
How come the counterfeiters aren't going after the higher dollar or more widely used filters?
Or are the A01 claims overblown??

The market for them exist because people are looking for the best bargain.
Counterfeiters could care less about the aftermarket filters because they are less appealing when you can buy an "OEM" filter at a good deal.
And when you start getting into brands, Fram might hold XX percent of the aftermarket, Wix X percent, Napa X percent. It isn't as viable.
There are fake NGK spark plugs on the market.

You have people that knowingly buy fake merchandise such as Louis Vuitton purses I saw at a flea market for $85.

When you manufacture 100k filter at 1$ cost and sell them for 5$ that's quite a profit there

Making a topic about a topic is redundant.

Honda uses one model of filter for the most part.

As criminals are lazy only counterfeiting one version is easier than dozens of models.
