Thought part of the "adios to Mexico" deal - was FCA to build Jeep truck in USA ?

been planned for over 2 yrs to make it at Toledo South, and unlike Ridgeline it will have multiple engine choices, solid axles with off road capability and will sell like hot cakes.

Colorado/Canyon is more capable and an actual truck with real 4x4 for the same price!

The avalanche is in a whole different class. MMy avalance gets 13 mpg city and 20 hwy. If a ridgeline gets 17 city and 24 hwy, you might as well get a full size truck.

The avalanche is in a whole different class. MMy avalance gets 13 mpg city and 20 hwy. If a ridgeline gets 17 city and 24 hwy, you might as well get a full size truck.

It fills a market niche and is appropriate for likely majority of pickup owners here and elsewhere who carry a bed of air.

Depends on what you are storing. The suburban is great vehicle, I've towed with them. My avalanche is built on the suburban frame.
I can take the covers off, and carry a a load of scrap metal to the recycler and hose it out, the same for mulch or manure. I would have had trouble bringing home my vertical air compressor in a suburban.

It's still too big for me, and I wish VW would bring its Caddy pickup back.

I agree there is a place for small single cab trucks. Like the s-10 and the vw. The vw had a decent bed size for its overall size. Got really good fuel economy too.

Even on "wants" you need to do some homework. Guy on my staff is big off road and camper type. In order to save money - they decided an eB powered Expedition could pull the Jeep and gear. He was not happy when they did it - and wound up having a second payment on an F150. Guess what ? Took a cheaper deal on the V8 and now wishes he'd got the eB for hilly tows he does.
