I have tried to get an answer from Redline, but after 2 - 3 weeks still no answer. Does anyone know why Redline does not specify SN on their oils? Does it have anything to do with a major change in their additive package (something put in or taken out)?

Redline doesn't meet any API specification. They just put the latest spec on the bottle and claim you can use it without any concern. Redline uses higher levels of ZDP so their oil would not qualify. I like Redline a lot, it's just not an API certified oil.
People using Redline know what they are getting
all their oils have the sn rating on them!!!iam looking at a qt of 5w20 sitting right here..changed oil last week. probably is an old bottle you have.red line does extensive tests on all their products!!!they don't just slap on a rating!!

You may want to take another look at that bottle and see if there is an actual API donut pictured there.
To the best of my knowledge, Redline states that their oils are "recommended for API this and that", but they don't actually carry any API approvals. As was noted by a previous poster, Redline uses very rich additive packs in their oils, way over current API limits.

Honestly, if Redline oils became API SN certified, I would be p*ssed and would no longer use them as a street+track oil...
no api donut never had..and i would agree with nick is red line had api donut i would be ticked too!!i never said they had that stupid donut on the bottles!!sn recommended rating is on the back along with a5/b5 and others..
