I've been angry about this for years. A good U.S. government should ban the importation of anything edible by man or beast from the Chicoms. Remember the intentional pet food melamine contamination to falsely boost the nutritional values? How about the recall of the widely prescribed blood pressure medication Valsartin as once it went generic and the Chinese cut corners on formulating and producing it leaving a cancer causing compound in it? We so need to step up and embrace making it here.

Someone at least tried. But he is the boogeyman.

This is what happens when there is capitalism but no moral restraints is place.

It’s just business is what is usually said in these situations. But that is meant as a moral get out of jail free card to justify potentially harming others for one’s own gain.

Just because it isn’t illegal (ie, the govt intervenes to stop it) doesn’t mean it is moral.

When I saw garlic at Trader Joe’s from China, that kinda scared me. I thought Gilroy, California was the garlic capital of the world?
There is a show(?)/you tube on the whole Chinese garlic connection. Fascinating. BTW Chinese garlic is terrible, and their fake pine nuts are toxic.
