Why do we let China have anything to do with our FOOD and DRUGS?

Why call it a "schtick"? Are they wrong? Most people in the USA don't even know what Falun Gong is and China uses that in it's favor as well.

I mean most (80%) of our media, well all of our media, is very very biased one way or another. Are they always wrong?

Frankly our media should be at least very skeptical of China and it's supporters.

Yes, hot garbage.

The Epoch Media Group's news sites and YouTube channels have promoted conspiracy theories such as QAnon, the Great Replacement, anti-vaccine misinformation and false claims of fraud in the 2020 United States presidential election. In June 2024, allegations of money laundering were leveled at Bill Guan, the group's chief financial officer.

Are they wrong here?

Are they always wrong? Is the MSM always right?

Don’t know exactly what the CFO was doing exactly but seems unrelated plus they have volunteered to fully cooperate

Attack the source is the usual method

Minimizing the radical views of the Falun Gong, like what you are doing is also one of their basic tenets and default responses to criticism of their cult.

This issue has been well known for a long time. I posted other links

Its a basic tenant of coordinated state mis-information. Get some fringe group to advocate one way, then that topic can be promoted as nonsense by everyone else purely because it came from a dis-credited source. Sort of like everything the one team says must be wrong if your on the other team. Divide and conquer.

No one here yet has discredited the story, other than to attack the source.

I will not allow my organs to be harvested nor attend a Shen Yun fundraiser, and will actively warn anyone as well. The moderator’s must be busy today.

Thank you. 4+ pages of whining, complaining, and cynicism.

Now, I challenge everyone to list possible REAL solutions that us average folk can engage in to actually turn things around............. 68 years young and I'm clueless.
The reality is, there are no easy solutions to what are incredibly complicated human problems. People seem to always look at the world from how they perceive things to be and what they think should be done. The thing is almost everyone has a different view and perception and and different motivations. Who's right and who's wrong? In the end it doesn't matter because there's nothing individuals l can do about it anyway.

As I always tell my wife, 'we cannot fix the world's issues. Best to just live our lives to our best ability and try and be kind and positive - and grateful for what we have'.

I'd love to attempt to discredit the story but it requires me to share my email to view the story (at least it does for me when following the link).

That's always a hallmark of a trusted website.

Also, Tom Kip is a sycophant and is the CEO of a large corporate farm group (largest in Indiana). Calling him a "seventh generation farmer" is like calling Bill Ford Jr. a "seventh generation autoworker".

So discredit the articles I posted in #16. I'll make it easy on you. No email required.

How about NBC? https://www.nbcnews.com/health/heal...chinese-control-american-drug-supply-n1052376

How about Bloomberg? https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...-reliance-on-cheap-foreign-drugs-senators-say

Or you can dig into the senate hearings on this, or even papers from the Pentagon, unless there not credible either?

That's kind of the point, isn't it?

Supporting the idea that Toyota makes the best, most reliable cars with a video of Scotty Kilmer yelling is very different than sharing research provided by consumer intelligence companies and actual automotive journalists.

If you form your world view on automobiles from Scotty Kilmer, you're off base. If you form your world view on China anything from Falun Gong, you're off base.

Do you want me to say that I inherently trust NBC and Bloomberg more than The Epoch Times? Absolutely. Everybody should. The Epoch Times is a known peddler of lies, intentionally written and consciously published. It's like Biff Tannen telling you he waxed the car twice. Do you take Biff at his word? Not unless you watched him apply the second coat yourself, you don't.

Also, I trust sitting senators (even Marco Rubio and Elizabeth Warren) over nepo baby, sycophant, and carpetbagger Kip Tom.

Texas is huge with semicon right now. A lot of companies are starting/moving fabs here and I’m all for it.
All for it. Wasn't aware of starting fabs there but it sounds good to me.

"China for China" will still be a draw to make things in China. They want to source local. If a company wants to be big, they want to be global, and that means being globally distributed (in terms of offices, manufacturing plants).

Amazing isn't it? Lets allow sales of farm land near Military installations too.
See my post above with a few suggestions. Stuff both sides can agree on, I mean many people are against food source labeling, but seems like we should know, punishment for bad actors, restrictions on countries who foul our food and drug supplies.

And all some people can do is attack the source of an article and the speaker. Not unexpected I guess.

You all do know who owns The Epoch Times? It can't be considered an impartial source about anything, especially China.
If I'm not mistaken the Epoch Times owners are anti the CCP (Communist Chinese Party)...

Considering a not insignificant amount of brightly colored spices were laced with a colorful lead compound, I would argue all vitamins, minerals, spices and non-ethnic specific foods be banned.

AKA Shrimp, Oysters, Tumeric, Candy isn’t ethnic Chinese
