I'd buy a Pagani Koenigsegg more rare in the US, more custom and bespoke as well; and just down right cool.

I believe the count in the US is 2-3.

Nothing worse than spending that much on a car and seeing another one.

Fixed that for you

I guess I'm too mainstream, I'd just "settle" for an Aston Martin.

The Pagani is beautiful, no doubt. I really don't think you can go too wrong with any of them.

My other direction is one of the modern reboots of the Jag E-type.

Nope I meant Pagani, which is why I typed it.

Koenigsegsegsegsegseg doesn't do much for me, but I do love their CF wheel technology.

I also like the Mercedes V12 power plants they use over Koenigsegg's bespoke V8. I'm a big fan of the M120 which the Zonda's engine is based on, more so since AMG built it.

+1 If I was dripping with money I would be happy with an Aston Martin Vanquish, Bentley Continental GT, and a Tesla P90D for flashy cars. I would have to have a Raptor and a couple Super Dutys to tow the Mustangs with.

I have no issues with the maintenance required for the Veyron, I just have never been interested in the car.

Aston Martin's can be had pretty cheap after a few years, same with GT's which IMHO isn't a terrible good car.

Both can be had for Corvette money on the used market, GT's since they cranked them out will be Honda Accord money in the not to distant future.

My neighbor has an AM, its a wonderful looking sleek missile.

Volkswagen Audi Group. I don't like a car company being called a VAG. Literally.

"VAG" actually stands for "Volkswagen AG" which is the name of the overall group company. "AG" is short for "Aktiengesellschaft" and denotes a company owned by its shareholders. Sort of like "Inc".

The Hyura uses the M275 with twin turbos. Quite the machine...and the engine is both a beast and quite reliable.

Yep the M275 is quite literally a work of art. Not only will it put out all kinds of HP it will do it for ever, very well designed. (its not as fragile as the Veyrons motor, *cough*) It was an effort by AMG for Pagani.

If I remember correctly the intake manifold is a machined chunk of magnesium and runs about $40k to produce. All the bolts used in the entire care are titanium and have the Pagani logo stamped on them. $50 each so losing a couple will hurt!

Its also the only use of carbotanium in a road car. People get excited about CF bits and pieces, Pagani uses carbotanium and book matches the grain like wood veneer.

Horacio Pagani believes that every part of the car should be a work of art on its own, so everything down to a tie rod end is bespoke and quite frankly could be displayed. He also feels that opening up the hood should be like opening up the back of a fine watch. A very old sentiment which is sadly missing from a lot of manufactures these days, like Lexus.

They could not source any automotive leather that was to Mr. Pagani's liking so they use handbag leather on the seats.

The gauge faces alone cost $5k to machine and are made by a watch company.
