Waste Oil Heater vs Propane Heater for Garage?

I'd run the NG line myself... But what do I know?

@tbm5690 I do have NG in the house, though at the wrong end of the basement which would probably not be a problem for a pipe fitter. The problem will be going out of the house and underground to the garage and back up. The house and garage will probably be about 20ft from each other with a driveway in between.

That is worth the price of admission...

I sell propane and I recommend a mini split if you already have 220. Depending on layout you can consider a ceiling cassette. It's by far the cheapest and it has the added benefit of dehumidifying and cooling.
