I like Redline oil. I have a 2005 V6 Toyota Tacoma, & have used Amsoil,Mobil,Eneros,Valvoline,Castrol oils & nothing has quieted the exhaust ticking better than Redline.I get better drivabilty & quieter engine operation & less starter amperage draw than any other oil I've used. At about $9 a quart I'd like to know who else is using Redline & what differences have you felt in your vehicle verses other brand oils?

In use it in my turbo application. 1st for it's shear stability for my extreme high oil pressure ( Twin 7.3 HPOPs ), reistance to fuel dilution ( I dump alot of fuel ). It's ability to handle high heat is awesome and my 3000.00 Turbo is worth keeping
I also use the 75-140 in all of my diffs. mainly as i know over time it wont be out of grade and the additive package is awesome for a part of the vehicle that does not see regular servicing.
I use it once in awhile in my gassers mainly for cleaning ability.
Redline is pretty application specific. if you know what it can do and the reasons it's better then your good. if you expect lower wear numbers you likely wont see them especially for the 1st 1 or 2 OCI as it's has very good cleaning abilities and you will see odd UOA.
If you understand the differences between normal Grp 3 oil and a quality Grp V oil you may find you only need mobil or Pennzoil for a normal daily driver.
Your way over doing it using this oil in your truck. Use a much less expensive product and get alot of the rewards your looking for.
PS All Redline oils are Heavy weights. IE the 5-30 is more like a 5-40. When purchasing you should go down 1 weight . Could be the reason your engines feels as it does

I think he is wanting a quieter valve train, and the ester content in Red Line may give that too him. Polarized esters stick to metal parts and don't run off.

I agree it's worth a shot. It runs quiet in all of my vehicles, except diesel it's loud anyway with 7in stacks on it LOL

I do lots of driving, about 150 miles a day & over the last few years I've figured out Redline also gives me the best MPG over other synthetics
I use Redline MTL in my manual Gearbox and Redline engine oil in my Volvo S60 2,5 Turbo.
I heard that Redline engine oil is good for turbo applications and the price difference instead of buying Mobil or Castrol is so small that i really dont care.

I like the reduced NVH I've observed with the oil, I like the big dose of friction modifier, I like the extra ZDDP, I like the idea of polar POE base stocks, and I like the company.
Their motor oils are overkill for most engines, but the trans fluids, gears oils, etc. are actually pretty good buys in my book.

I use it in my Nissan 370Z. The VQ37 is a hot running, high strung engine and is known to be hard on oil. I don't mind paying a premium price for Redline but I don't extend the OCI's past 5K miles just to be safe.
I use it because of the extra margin of protection it provides (vs. 'off-the-shelf' stuff).
And even though most on here always have to make a point that it is not needed, or "overkill", it really IS not much more than those same said 'off-the-shelfers', unless they're on a CRAZY sale/discount like the old Pep Boys Pennzoil Platinum $2.00/qt. final cost after rebate deal.
So WHY NOT use it?!?!
