That’s true for the mass market where Joe Schmo can’t be pursuaded to spend an extra $3 on the filter he trusts to protect his most expensive depreciating asset.
But in the realm of industrial equipment, the savvier fleet managers are wise the tremendous value of premium filters. They protect much better, the last longer, and they more than pay for themselves vs cheap filters.
It’s a shame that so many people just don’t value the protection of their expensive cars and trucks. How is it not obviously worth the cost of a Starbucks are two per year to use the best filters?
Either Carquest Premium (blue label) or the MicroGard Select. Those were suggested in another one of your threads.

Purolator One checks the boxes and made in USA, usually for less money. I realize the bandwagon is rolling for PG. I don’t care about that. PG is made in PRC or Vietnam, that’s a line in the sand.
Actually the Boss is fine also, but the bandwagon isn’t going to allow that to stand.
Literally might as well not have an oil filter section if it gets to the point a few opinions declare everything and control everything. Many online forums are like that.

People can choose to consider other's opinions or not. Some people's opinions are based on data and facts, and some are just based on "feelings" or other views. How someone sees and takes all that in is ultimately their own decision.
Choosing a filter based on data is key. Quality is important as is keeping the profits in the US(PG) and not sent to Germany(M+H).

you are doing exactly what you are preaching against. follow the data and C&P’s. the boss isn’t fine for anything other than maybe a race motor. the rest of us will push for quality and efficiency. i’m a fram fan boy but don’t push the endurance spin on’s currently due to leaf spring issues. you have to keep an open mind in the oil filter game at the current time

It’s a free ad space for PG at this time. No I am not doing the same thing at all. I said for me since I control my wallet, I can find other filters not made in PRC. So I can recommend other filters when people ask, and go against the bandwagon. If that is disallowed then the sub forum is useless.
It's a "free ad space" for the ones getting the most attention and kudos, regardless of brand. The Fram OG Ultra and Titanium was in that postilion at one time. In the world of oil filter Wack-a-Mole it changes with the times.
If others don't want to buy products made in other countries, then they might listen to your option ... otherwise they won't, and most likely listen to the performance and quality side of the coin.
