I know Shell supposed supplies their oil but who makes their synthetic 5w20?

Shell makes Quaker State and Pennzoil so could this be a rebadged Quaker State or Pennzoil Platinum?

Just to add I researched and Shell doesn't have a "Shell Synthetic 5w20".

Only a 5w30 and 10w30.

no one knows?

Comon guys, someone hqas to know who makes Shell's Synthetic 5w20.

Finding out who makes CT or Walmart's oils seems to be a very hard thing to do up here in Canada. I have a feeling that they might even change their suppliers often on some of the oils too, such as the 0w30 or 5w20.

Do you have the 7 digit product code from the front label of the bottle for MM 5w-20 synthetic?

MSDS can be checked with first 6 digits …

Yip, it is Shell for sure:

28-8712:

Pour point of -33c? That seems aweful high for a synthetic.

Ther one thing I noticed was that on the front of the bottle it had 100% Synthetic* And the star on the back denoted this:

* Exclusive of Additive carrier oil

So that just means that the additive carrier oil might have some mineral oil as the carrier oil I guess.

Would that be correct?

I work for Canadian Tire, ALL of the motomaster oils are made by Shell, hoped that helped

Thats really wierd. I picked up 8 bottles of the mm 5-20 synthetic in lindsay a couple of months ago and they are all numbered 28-8711 and don't show up on the msds. What is the date printed on the bottle? My bottles say 11/15/06.
