See thats the thing. If changing the oil/used oil analysis and home brews is becoming a hobby to some of you, your not going to want to wait out an extended drain, lol.

For me, I live in a condo, me and my fiancées car gets an oil change every october, which ends up being 10k-15k for each of us. Since I have to take a trip to my father's property to do the two vehicles at once,(not allowed to change oil in our condo complex) my dodge truck and her saturn, I am thrilled that I only do it once a year. With the cost of oil and fuel today, you cant loose doing an extended drain. It cost me about $90 a year for the two vehicles in total.
It seems Mobil 1 Extended Performance is very popular in my area, and it seems hard to find on the shelves (5w30 or 10w30) nearly every october.
I think just for the sake of not running around, I may switch to amsoil, and get it shipped to my place in the future.
