Who can do a proper VOA on Valvoline products?

As the title says, I'm curious as to which oil analyzer company can perform a VOA on Valvoline, if any. I'm thinking about running Valvoline 5w40 European for my next oil change but I wanted to know what the additive package is. In past threads (one of mine, and a few others I've searched), the common consensus is that oil analyzing companies don't test for some of the additives that are in the Valvoline additive package. As a result, the VOA's are lackluster (compared to other brands) despite UOA's proving otherwise. I'd like to get a complete VOA of it if I can.

Thanks!

I'm not sure you'd be willing to spend that kind of money for something that would tell you exactly what's in the oil.

I'm guessing many thousands of dollars would get you there. @MolaKule might be able to pinpoint that amount a little better.

Save your money. It’s gonna be a similar package to all other major API SP Euro 40s. There’s probably little difference between Castrol Euro 5W-40, M1 FS 5W-40, PP Euro, Valvoline, etc.

There are things which no UOA will reveal (such as oil group type; additives which don't respond in ICP analysis; etc).
You can look at the SDS sheets, but they often will just show a "range" of some info, and because many are just listed as classes of elements or compounds, there's no way to use the SDS as a discernment tool in general.

As I understand it this a thing with A3/B4 oils. Besides, unless you know the blend of base stocks, one oil may have more detergents vs another only because it needs it in order to meet the same approval.

Maybe I'm missing something, but if the UOA is great...who cares what the additive package is anyway?

You might find an oil VOA that you think is fabulous but, in the end, isn't the UOA the only thing that really matters? It's the proof of how well any given engine works with any given oil.

If you really love this car and you want the best of the best use 1 of the HPL Oils or use Mobil 1 ESP 5W-30 or Mobil 1 FS 5W-30!
Since you live in Texas, Mobil 1 FS 5W-40 is also a great option.

Circa 2013 when everyone here was going crazy over the cheapest conventional at walmart (PYB) because it had a lot of moly and calcium.

Curious what kind of unique or secret additive packages are in Valvoline that are not present in other oils?

These days, you would think oil is oil as long as they meet the same requirements and officially have the same approvals! Meaning verified by an independent source. You know, like not having fox guarding the hen house! lol

Also if these additives are not unique or secret, then other oils with the same additives will also have a "lackluster" VOA results under the same test/analysis. No?

Is Valvoline that unique? It won't change my mind from using Valvoline EP 5W-30 but it will be nice to you that I have some fancy or secret additives in my Tundra. :ROFLMAO:

I am curious and will search the site but if you have a link can you please post? I assumed it's like battery, appliances, etc. which there are limited number of manufacturers and others stamp their names on it.

I just had a Kirkland Signature Albacore White Tuna sandwich I think CEO of Costco caught the fish during his last vacation!:alien:
