Personally I don't see the point. Then again, I would not run dyno (1-3) in any of my engines (in sig) simply because I have had better experience with the Grp4 and especially 5 oils.
Who actually still uses a synthetic blend?

there is little difference in dino verses syn blend at most buy the oil that is cheap with the ratings you need
I have used synthetic blends in my Honda Ridgeline and Infiniti M35 since the vehicles were new--all oils by Conoco Phillips. I buy 76 Super in Virginia and Conoco and Kendall in Pennsylvania, but only at distributors. I've been happy with the performance and I paid $2.34 a quart for the last case of 76 Super. When I tried QSUD in the M35, consumption went from zero to 2/3 quart every 2-3K miles. The Honda uses no oil and runs quietly and cleanly.
Who uses a Syn-blend? The dealership when you ask for Synthetic (Happened to the wife when I was not around)
