Recommending for someone else’s 2023 it seems Subaru would be the choice to me.

Yes, My local Walmart in NH carries Tokyo Roki OEM Subaru part
always check your local Subaru dealership for stuff too…I can get my Tokyo Roki filter from a nearby dealership (not where I bought mine) for a few dollars less than Walmart while also picking up a new crush washer if that’s important to you...

I am currently using the Endurance 7317 on my 2016 Outback (purchased before the great flashlight controversy)..no issues so far, but wouldn't expect any for ~5k...I have one of the STP "premium" 4615s waiting in the wings...but after that think I will just go back to the Subaru OEM
