Which oil filter for my Honda Fit, from RockAuto?

It won’t matter. Follow the OLM and buy the cheapest.
Kind of a funny answer for BITOG IMO.

We scrutinize oil details to micro differences for additive packs, cleaning and the actual lubricating. We all want good value but will pay more if it's a better oil for our vehicles in our opinions.

Then we get this above. Buy the cheapest, doesn't matter.

Leaking ADBV, poor micron ratings compared to others, torn media and other factors do have effects on that oil we paid more for and the motors. I don't want to spend crazy but having a filter that actually does its job correctly for my OCI is what I'm looking for. Those seem to be harder to get these days.

Lots of people don't think an oil filter makes any difference ... because the engine didn't blow-up from low filtration efficiency. 😄 The basic thing to know is the longer the OCI, that more oil filtration efficiency is better. Running a "long life" 50% @20u filter for 10,000+ mile OCIs, or running a filter like that for multiple OCIs isn't doing any good.

When Rock Auto lists filters that are from "various manufacturers" or are "closeouts," I'm leery that the filters will be too dated.

I agree with this, but most of those leak tested Chinese filters have the thread end sealed with plastic, so maybe the degradation isn't as bad

Get a 6-pack of those $1.81 filters, that Honda will never know the difference. Want to save more? Change it every other OCI, just as Honda suggests; I would.
I agree.....the Luber-Finer 6607 sized filters I bought seemed identical to the Walmart Supertech versions which are $3.87 each and seem to be good quality.

After re-reading the post I quoted....I was agreeing on buying the Luber-Finer filters but I'm not sure I'd go 2 OCIs on them. I have run an original Fram Ultra 2 OCIs on my Focus (about 12K miles total) because the belly-pan is a PITA to remove so I Mityvac the oil out. I doubt I'd do 2 OCIs on most other filters especially when they cost only $1.81 each.

Get the Ackoja. They cost the most so therefore they must be the best!

Seriously though, I used the ACDelco in my Honda for several years and they worked well. The champ pH 2867 may be identical, so I would certainly consider this option. It is considered more of a jobber level (maybe because it doesnt have blue paint), but I have never experienced a failure in any jobber level filter. Get the cheapest one you are comfortable with; or the one with the coolest paint job.

Edit: as others noted above, if you do regular OCI and change the filter every time, you won't see much benefit from a higher tier filter. The jobber filters are fine for whatever mileage they see rated for, especially in a clean running engine.
