Pennzoil High Mileage 10w30 or Castrol GTX HM?

Also, for that matter, is plain YB one of the best dinos over Castrol GTX?

I am having to "unlearn" since I have joined this site. I was convined Castrol is about the best dino money can buy.

Valvoline Maxlife is a vary, very good High Mileage oil. The two you mention are good, but Maxlife is a fave on here because it seems to have a very 'robust' add pack, including a large amount of moly. It will survive 7-8k mile drains in most vehicles easily.

If you are looking at dealing with a consumption problem, I'd use the GTX High Mileage...the 10w30 claims the lowest amount of 'burn-off' among all 10w30 conventional oils.

why the 75,000mi mark for these oils? Any negatives to running these prior to that? Do the seals really need that long to be reconditioned, or is it a ploy to keep the consumer buying the non-High Mileage oil for newer vehicles and thus diversifying their sales.

They're both good, but I like the Pennzoil High Mileage products better.

I use and prefer Napa HM. It's the same quality as Maxlife for a lower price.
