My Volvo sure likes a 40 wt., either syn 5W-40 or conventional 15w40. I'd re-think your choice of those light oils in Arizona heat. I'm running Schaeffer 5W-40 with 10,000 mile ODI in my '96 850 turbo with excellent lab reports and excellent cleanliness.

Well, I actually went with the MC 15w40 yesterday as it was the best priced jug at WalMart. I am sure it will be fine for my Volvos in Arizona. You are the second person that has owned Volvos like me and recommended the 15w40. I presume then that I would run a 5w30 in the winter months?
