Where to buy OEM Toyota parts?

I posted before that I like to support local small town businesses whenever possible. I have a great relationship with a local Ford dealer. They give me a pretty darn good discount on OEM parts. Plus, when I need something else (maybe a torque spec that I can't easily find online, etc.) they know me and are always willing to help. It's a win win relationship, I think.
I just can't get any traction with a local Toyota dealer though. I've tried, talked to a couple different guys there, bought some parts there, but still have to pay MSRP. That and it's almost too long of a drive to get there. The next closest Toyota dealer is definitely too far to drive.
So, something that I'm not fond of doing; I think that I am going to have to buy OEM Toyota parts that I need online.
Where is the best place? I am concerned too about getting genuine OEM parts, not fake, knock-off, look alike junk.
Can a person get OEM Toyota parts somewhere at a discount off of MSRP, decent price (or 0) on shipping, etc.?

Try Toyota.com they have a new program with a number of their dealers where you can order online at a discount and pick up the part at your local dealer. I've seen parts discounted between 20-31% on average. They list the local dealers by you that are participating in this discount program.

Try this website. Put your zip code in and see what comes up. I found the price a lot less expensive than at my local dealership.

This is where I have ordered most of my parts for my Prius from and they usually ship from a dealership somewhere near me. Quite a bit less expensive than the dealership every time. Almost 50% cheaper for a few things.

Are you friends with any shops or dealers that have a wholesale account at that Toyota parts department that might let you buy under their account? Can you set up your own wholesale account? Might have to get a traders license or similar from your county or register a trading as, business name.

locate the part number then google it, more often than not you'll wind up at ebay or amazon..I'll arrange to work with the mechanic and I order the oem parts.

EB Toyota Parts typically has good pricing North Attelboro, MA. I bought a front bumper cover from them once w/ very reasonable shipping making it much less than local dealer. They use to ship all fluids but not sure anymore.
Toyota of North Miami will ship ATF so perhaps other fluids as well w/o silly hazardous material fee.
ToyotaPartsDeal.com is in El Monte, California. They have a pretty good site.
There are many others...

I am in the same boat, my local dealers mark up the prices because they don't have any competition within a couple hours drive of here. Like others have said check out parts.toyota.com. If you are going to search on ebay use the keyword genuine along with the part number to help filter out the aftermarket parts that flood that site. There are Toyota dealers who sell on ebay and if you order directly from their website bypassing ebay that may save you a couple bucks as well. Sometimes ordering from dealers a state or two over or even across the country ends up being cheaper than buying closer to home. I also noticed that over the memorial day weekend prices where discounted on Toyota parts so maybe check around holidays to see if there are any sales.

I have found some genuine Toyota maintenance part on Amazon supplied by either Toyota or Lexus dealership.
In some cases, RA also sells Denso or NGK or from OEM supplier parts at very good price.

As for direct source, I have used Connicelli (sp?) Toyota, they have a reasonable shipping charge.

Like I mentioned, I have a bit of fear of getting fake knock-off stuff buying from some random vendor on Amazon that I have never heard of.

A reputable seller will give an identifiable name that allows you to actually look them up. So if the seller is "OEM_autoparts_USA", yeah, you have no idea but if it's "walker-toyota-ohio", you can look them up and see that they're real. Dealers have been re-selling on eBay for much longer than on Amazon so for dealer parts, I'd stick with eBay for now.

If you're still hesitant, look for dealers that sell online that are geographically closer to you to save on shipping charges alone.

Right now, I'm looking to buy a trans filter and some fluid for my Tacoma.
No dealer is going to give you a discount for a small order like that. Go online and find one of the Toyota dealers near you that has a Revolution Parts affiliation (that won't be easy, been there done that) like https://toyotaparts.mcgeorgetoyota....nance-and-lubrication--automatic-transmission for example. Some of them will allow local pick up and the parts are 20-35% off list. If no dealer like that nearby, ask your dealer if they would match those prices.

McGeorge Toyota has great prices and service. I’ve ordered from them a couple times recently. Much cheaper than any dealer around me.
