Whats your favorite rifle?

A favorite rifle? There is no such thing in my book. Each one has a different purpose.
What’s your favorite wrench?
What’s your favorite screwdriver?
What’s your favorite hammer?
What’s your favorite power tool?
Do you see what I’m talking about?
I don't go to use a screwdriver for fun. But I'll do that with a rifle. So yeah, there is a favorite rifle.

A great choice.

The Army’s first “smokeless” round. The only foreign design the Army bought as its primary service rifle.

Smoothest bolt of any rifle I own. Coolest loading system. Krag ammo is still made, but not easy to find.
Totally easy to find if you load! But the brass is beginning to be hard to find.

I think 220 swift if still the flattest cartridge out to 600.........you have kind of a hathcock tribute gun

I don't try to equate this to the sniper rifle, but agree it shoots quite well. 500 was my personal limit....for groundhogs.
Those adjustment aren't 1/4" @ 100 either, something like .2 @ 100. It depends on your mount spacing.
I don't think Hathcock got a Super Grade though! :)

A DWM made Mauser 98/09 Argentine Mauser. Got it in unissued unfired condition, back around 1980, for $150
09 Argentines were my great Uncles action of choice for building custom rifles. Im lucky enough to have two he built and they’re truly works of art, but I saw one in the condition yours is broken up to be used for the receiver and that hurt my feelings even as a teenager.. Made me want to start collecting milsurps and keeping them original

I want a Winchester 9422 so bad! Many years ago, when I was deciding which .22lr lever action I wanted to buy, I was shown one at a gun store. At the time, I did not know that it was out of production. I passed, later buying my Browning lever action. Of course I can't find one any longer. I guess if I want one bad enough, I'm going to pay a premium.
Doesn’t browning still make the BL-22? I always assumed they were very similar to the 9422

Edit: I missed that you’d bought a browning first time I read your post

Probably my son's Henry Eagle Scout version presented to him at his Eagle Ceremony. I don't even know if he put any rounds through it yet, it's in a display case currently. He had no clue I bought it for him before it was on the table. His dedication and our memories, well worth it.

His is probably his M1 Garand we bought from CMP, cleaned up and went Orion (20 minutes away) to get checked and some repairs/restorations). That has seen many rounds and fondling.

Some think that a "sniper rifle" is a one hole gun. You have close to a Hathcock Tribute gun 100%. typical qual for snipers in the army 20 years ago was 800m. A 1 MOA gun is as accurate as you can hope for. Anyway, cool gun.
