While packing some items (for our move to WI), I found some old bottles of Castol Syntec 5w50. One of the bottles had a rebate tag and it had ended in 2000! I had planned on using it in the 77 Scout. So what is the oldest oil you have?

I have a quart of Syntec 5W-50 SJ, and based upon the API spec, it must be of around the same vintage.
Other than that, the oldest oil I have is some QS 10w30 syn quarts, which would date from probably 2006, when AAP was running their BOGO sales on QS and PP.

I have some SG rated Amoco Ultimate Synthetic 10w30 that I use in my OPE.
I have some SH rated Castol Synthetic, Pennzoil Performax and Western Auto synthetic.
I have some Exxon Superflo SJ synthetic.
All are full PAO synthetics.....

You should see my whiskey collection...

My oldest is a jug of 5W20 SM Pennzoil Ultra.

I have 2 Litres left of the stuff, will use it soon.

The jug is very nice looking, will keep it as my measuring jug. Nice handle placement and easy to read the level in the bottle with the clear window and measurement markings with a nice fitting cap.

Probably the 3 year old Syntec 0w-20 that's now installed in the Fit. I'd have to say some Pennzoil YB 5w30 at a year old is the oldest.

40+ years old

The only old stuff in my stash is leftovers from oil changes where I did not use it all, or when I sold a vehicle. I have contracted with Walmart to keep my stash of oil on their shelves. Amazon keeps my stash of oil filters.

My stash never sticks around too long, I either use it or friends buy it off me because I got it for a steal. But I still have some maxlife from last years engine warranty rebates.

They all make fun of me checking out the oil isle for deals every trip to the store, but the shut up really fast when they come to me and pick up a change worth of quality oil for under $10 LOL.

I agree with people who stash their oil at WalMart.

I don't keep more than 3 oil changes worth any more, to buffer my oil changes against the rare occasion that there is no GRIII syn on sale at the time.

If I had to pay 40$ for a jug of PP I'd just about die.
