What's the last thing you decided to buy for yourself?

Back on topic. The most recent “gift to myself” was this Seiko. An Astron. Chronograph. Second time zone. Titanium case and bracelet, solar powered, GPS enabled. It knows the time zone you’re in and will set itself to local time by pushing a button.

Figured all that would come in handy as I change time zones often. Yes, I love the Filson, wear it often, but this is my new “work” watch.

That’s sharp 👍

I have a birthday coming up. I have owned a lot of guns over the years but have never owned a Glock. I have decided to buy myself a Glock 17. I couldn't decide between that and the 19 but I will never carry concealed and I have XL hands.

I picked up a couple of vegetable peelers:

I had a 30 year old el cheapo electric impact wrench that couldn’t loosen a 3/8” bolt. I decided to buy this:

You better be careful tightening any size bolt with this. It has a stupid amount of torque, around 850 pound feet.
I can get this Makita high torque impact wrench and a 4aH battery+charger from Home Depot for $329. Not sure how long the deal is good for. Does that seem like a good deal?

Go for the 34 in that case. Same grip but even longer barrel for more accuracy and fun. And look into the GSSF for more fun yet.

Makita-XWT08Z high torque impact bare tool about 245 right now + free bonus tool
Edit:
(appears to be not working)
I bought that impact. It was $329 and a 4AH battery with rapid charger was free. I'm going to find all sorts of things to do with it. 😁

I had the older dewalt version (dcf899)
I got the ryobi high torque last june.. its a beast too 1100+ 70$ price tag was pretty sweet.

Pretty much convinced I'm going ryobi.. the prices are the best, and with the HP tools the performance is there.. yet tons of other good tools too.

Right now I have 4 systems 🙄 I almost snagged the HP drill and HP impact driver for 99$ with battery so I could donate my bosch gear and be done with it.

Last thing I bought was a shower stool.. Wife has Charcot foot with a torn lisfranc ligament and broken arch.....and needs surgery ugh ugh ugho_O

New iPhone 16 but the wife got one too so more if needed upgrade.

Needed a smaller EDC knife for all my shorts and swimsuits (in Florida after all). Bought a SOG that’s very compact. Solid for a knife in the sub 70-80 dollar range. What I really want is a bench made full immunity 290 but that’s the price of a decent pistol 🤣. I’ve been in law enforcement a long time now and it’s funny how many guys break knives because they become their multi tool (screw driver, pry tool etc). That’s why I carry the multi tool separate.
