You can't tell me you're surprised.
Frozen dinners have never been good for you. I don't even have any in my house. I want to live a long healthy life

All you have to do is read the label to see its bad for you. Generally if it is not on the outer walls of the store its not very healthy.

And a lifetime of health problems culminating in untimely demise.

My point..............is after walking thru w.world, its really not any different in say Bi Low, Publix, and so on, someone makes this stuff and we eat it, thats all. No we dont have to eat it, its there if u want the stuff. Between LA and say Jacksonville, fl,,,someone is gonna buy the stuff, no matter whats on the label.

A fool and his or her money are soon parted, Im guilty, everytime I eat fast food, not much, but its been known to happen. Lets all read what we are eating, well reading is for another subject, good day.

It's funny that whenever food labels are mentioned on the idjit box, the food industry complains about how much the labelling will cost consumers....

They pay marketting genii to design attractive labels, that the shelf packers are trained to make front and centre. A simple label table can be added over any design in power point even.

Talking to my cousin, who works in pre-pack, dry soups and pastas, they know exactly what's in stuff, as they throw 2,200 lb of pasta, 100lb of dried onion etc., which are all pretty standardised, then divvy them up into 1/4 lb packs...

labelling is easy, and the food industry doesn't want it...there's a lot that "label" their packet in the reverse crease of the packet join.

But when the authorities are in on it, taking 1M signatured on a petition as a single letter of complaint, then it's getting pretty obvious who calls the shots.

Or, if you want to simplify things further, you could say if it requires a label, it's not very healthy. Real food (usually) doesn't have lists of ingredients.

I guess I don't understand your point-if there is one.

There will always be someone dumb enough to eat garbage like that. Even with all the education about food, even with all of the label information available, people will still put that trash into their mouths. After all, look at the level of success most fast food joints have. Anyone with an IQ higher than room temperature knows what they pass off as food isn't healthy, yet people waddle in there in droves to slurp up the greasy burgers and salty fries. The same goes for your frozen food example-there will always be someone too lazy to make a real meal, and they'll buy overpriced frozen garbage, throw it into the oven for 20 minutes, and then pretend that it's food.

Unfortunately, those of us who do actively maintain our health have our insurance risk grouped with the slugs who don't, and we end up footing most of the bill for people who choose to eat an unhealthy diet.

we recently bought more can goods, of greens, and beans and chicken to bake and we are now do track and field events getting to the bathroom, not use to good food, lmao

My diet has changed quite heavily this past year... We rarely ever eat out anymore (if so, its Subway or Chipotle)... I stock a ton of morningstar vegetarian products and make wraps with vegetables and tons of good healthy filler. I only eat meat two days a week generally, if that. Eat plenty of stir fry's and also do not consume milk anymore (in raw form... in bakery items and such its fine). I use unsweetened almond or coconut milk and love it with my whole grain cascadian farm cinnamon raisin cereal which IMO, is the best cereal ever. Puts Raisin Bran to shame!

When I go to a store, I look at the label and avoid anything I don't know what it is... The less the better!

It is SO easy to make delicious, healthy dinners. Yesterday I bought some rice papers, soaked them for twenty seconds and stuffed them with spinach, carrot, cabbage and red pepper... Topped with some sesame seeds and spicey chili paste and dipped in a sweet chili sauce. Took me five minutes to prep and eat. Amazing stuff.

I feel better about myself and have also lost some weight just by switching diet alone. I just need to do better with the sweets and I should be even better off

I just made some today for lunch... Today I used spinach, bok choy, red pepper, carrot and cabbage. I stir-fryed all the veggies with some fresh ginger and garlic, with some chili-garlic paste, siracha, sesame seeds, black bean paste and a little Chinese five spice. Once heated, wrapped them in the rice papers. Extremely delicious!

I plan to do some spring rolls next week (fried variety). Can't wait!
