Hey guys.

Just got a 2013 Sonata 2.0t. My first turbo so was wondering what oïl i should be using. Dealer says i have to change it every 8000km's for warenty.

so let me know!

You'd be fine with CT's full syn oil. Either 5w30 or 5w20. I run it on my MIL's 2011 Sonata with the 2.4 and it seems to do just fine.

Considering your only planning to do 8,000 km OCI's, you'll be saving some $$ too

If going with the full 8000km oci, any major brand synthetic is fine. Dealerships down here use conventional unless you request otherwise and our manuals do not specify the use of a synthetic, so any conventional meeting spec would also do, according to Hyundai.

Thanks for the info guys! propably go with the Pennzoil Platinum they have it in stock at walmart here for 24.99$ most of the time...

a friend of mine says to go amsoil OE 5w30.. says it would be cheaper... how does the OE stack up against the platinum?
