What market segment and quality ?

Which oils are better Quaker State, Valvoline, Amsoil, Motul?
Every day I oil into gasoline and diesel in the class of 5w30 5W-40 and 10W-40.
What is the market segment occupied by these brands, and what quality they offer.
I ask as koncument in Europe.

On what bases these companies are based oils, PAO, Ester, Moly ....?

Amsoil is a premium synthetic (which I have never used). Valvoline and QS are quality brands that are widely available here in America. Motul is a European(?)brand with a good reputation that is not widely available here.

PS: I have used Amsoil ATF and MTL. Amsoil makes excellent products which are pricier than Valvoline and QS.

Well, by price it would certainly have Motul and Amsoil in the 7-10 dollar per quart category, and QS and Valvoline in the 2 dollar per quart category. So you can see what "market segments" they are in right there.
